Building a bond with your Jack Russell Terrier is the first and the most crucial step involved in training him successfully. As soon as you bring your Jack Russell Terrier home, you must first try to develop a caring and loving relationship with him in order to win his trust and confidence.

Jack Russels will respond better to training once they feel secure and safe in their new environment. It is important to build the trust and mutual respect between you and the Jack Russell. 1. Never scold your Jack Russell if he fails. It is not his fault. You have failed as a trainer.

2. Be patient, persistent and consisten.

3. Shower you Jack Russell with love and affection when he succeeds. Encouragement works wonders.
